Kenya: Elephant Destroy Farms in Trans Nzoia

Civic leaders from Nzoia County Council have expressed concern over the destruction of crops by elephants from Mount Elgon Game Park at Kibroa location in Kwanza. Led by councillor Gilbert Kitiyio, the leaders said despite presenting complaints to the area Kenya Wildlife Service office, their appeal has fallen on deaf ears. "The government must take this issue seriously to avoid further destruction," said Kitiyio.
