Kenya: Varsity Opens Regional Campus

MOUNT Kenya University will expand its campuses to pastoral communities as part of its marketing strategy to increase access to higher education to hundreds of secondary school leavers in arid regions of the country. The university's Eldoret campus director Prof Lokapel Elim said they have resolved to reach out to students from marginalized communities in the North Rift region to assist them in having equal opportunity in access to higher learning while at the same time, cutting down on cost of learning.
